Breck

Hunter’s Moon Breck was born March 16th 2012 and was the pick of our B litter. Breck is approved for breeding by the SMCNA. She is 20 3/4″ (52.7 cm) tall and weighs 44 pounds. Her PennHIP scores where .39/.40 (report # 912275). Because Breck was doing so well when we started training her, we decided to run her in NAVHDA natural ability test at a very young age. At the time she was the 3rd youngest Small Munsterlander ever to pass the natural ability test at the age of 5.0 months. She scored a 93 prize 3, which is very respectable for such a young dog. Breck also got 3rd place in the Michigan Grouse & Woodcock Hunting Dog Classic, Summer 2015.

Breck’s dam is our oldest Small Munsterlander, Litha. Her sire was a Dux Vom Eulenfelsen, one of the top stud dogs in Germany. As a result she has a very good genetic health record. Breck is a very outgoing hunting dog, with a ton of drive and desire. We primarily hunt her on grouse and woodcock, but she is an excellent retriever for waterfowl hunting as well. She has an excellent structural conformation, which allows her to hunt all day. She has a bit more range then the typical Small Munsterlander, which gives us a chance to field trial her in some of the grouse and woodcock trials here in Michigan.

Above all Breck has an excellent temperament, and is very affectionate. She gets along with other dogs and children very well. She is a great house dog, but loves being outside as much as possible like most hunting dogs. She’s one of those dogs that never gets tired of anything. We’ve been extremely happy with her, and look forward to many hunting seasons together.

Many more pictures of her can be found in the Puppy Galleries, but here is our favorite from when she was 11 weeks old.
